new semester

--UPDATED--

Finally!!! After neglecting most of my emails, after not doing my regular blogwalking, and after the long hours of not sleeping not eating and forgetting the world outside (OK, im quite exaggerating on this one), i finally managed to finished the 6th book of HARRY POTTER, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!!!
oh well, maybe im a bit late here, since the spoiler alert was (and is) everywhere from the first day the book came out (thats why i dont open my email as often as usual, the spoiler is just all over! tsk tsk)

errr.. about the book (i wouldnt retail the whole story here, as i respect people who's reading it and who's not even started it), i would just say.. uhmm.. i'm devastated after reading it. i didnt expect the ending would be like that. shit.

and now i'll just have to wait until the next book come out. and it's not until 2 years from now. damn.

--END OF UPDATE--

hoookay,
so it's the new semester all over again! i'm nervous as hell cause this might be my final semester. and since there's no room for mistake for me (i havent got enough money for failing subjects *sigh*), i must make this as my real final semester.
the thing is, i'm not familiar with all the subjects.

the subjects i'm taking so far are:
1. information society: global perspective
2. cognition human performance
3. media literature project
4. making news making policy: politics and media

*deep breath*
OK, information society is a continuation from the so-called new media: telecommunication revolution which i took last semester. the assessments are quite OK, except i get to be assessed over a group debate, which i'm not familiar with. debate? sounds creepy to me, cuz this is gonna be my first ever formal debate.

second i'm concerned about is cognition human performance. it's a psychology subject for crying out loud, so why on earth must i, a media and communication student, take this subject? it even has 5 prerequisites subjects, and i have completed NONE from the 5 required subjects. i dunno why the convenor still enrolled me to this subject. how great is this. T_T

next is media literature project. it's actually quite a fun subject, or at least it sounds like one. it's a non-class subject so i dont have lectures and tutorials to attend to (yaaay!), but it's a supervised project of various projects i can choose from. so far i'm choosing to build a website, and people say i should be fine with this. yea people actually said that, cuz they know i have this damn blog. what they dont know is, im actually not a computer-and-technology kinda person. i'm quite.. err.. illiterate in designing, let alone in coding and sorta stuff like that. you people who know a bit about these should help me.

lastly, the media and politics. let's just say im a bit OK here, since i have my own safety net, with my irwan graduated with bachelors of politics. hueheuhue hey don't blame me to gain a lil biiit of advantage by having him ;)

so there. all my subjects i'm taking this semester. hopefully i'll be able to cope with all the workload.

i'm keeping my fingers crossed, so pray for me people :)

on a completely different topic, it's funny how you are so used to the long-distance relationship you sometimes take it for granted. you thought the change of place would not affect you anyhow. and me, i just realised it doesnt work that way.
being in a long-distance relationship more than 2 years, i thought all long-distance relationship is the same, no matter how far you are separated.
all this time, i'm used to melbourne-perth way of communication. the optus free time, the 3 talk cap, the all-around-the-clock MSN, and as a whole, the internet.
it turns out to be when the distance changed, it changed your relationship a bit.
when he's gone to jakarta for good, sumtin has changed.
the feeling is quite similar as 'you dont know what you get until you lose it'.

i miss him already, badly :(
