public holiday

sounds pretty kewl, innit? public holiday is supposed to be a holiday for public, where everyone can get a rest or do whatever relaxing, yada yada yada, blah blah blah. innit? but it turns out it's not. not here in melbourne.

so it was yesterday, the labour day here in vic. there were all these fancy carnaval and parade and all, people were everywhere having a chitchat with their friends, and fams. but not us, the uni student. can you believe it that we still had to go to the uni like the rest normal weekdays?

so there i was, still very sleepy due to the lack of sleeping hours from the previous day. walking to stop 19 as i usually go, only to find out that there's no tram at all! yes, none at all. zip, nada, zero.

and yes, i eventually i had to drag my ass off, walking to flinders st station. heck it was like 6 stops for god's sake! n then i had to get on the train which was using saturday timetable, meaning there was only few trains that are running. and to make it worse, once i arrived in uni, late as can be, only to find out that not all facilities in uni were working. not all the labs were open, and to my horror, all the cafes were closed! thank god i study in swin where you can get food easily from glenferrie road, but what if i studied in berwick like my housemate?

so come on, have a lil thought about that. WHY OH WHY WOULD YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE UNI WHEN NOT ALL THE FACILITIES ARE WORKING?

oh goodness me, the whole idea of public idea in melbourne is pretty strange, isn't it?

NGAJAK GILA.
