happy new year, all. hope this is not all that late, rite? hope you all had a blast on NYE, and i also wish you all a very good life ahead (me is included, of course ;P).
i used to loove this ambiance at work during xmas- new year holiday. there seemed nothing more you can ask cuz it was so nice. workload had lessen to its minimum level, and all the dearest colleagues (most of them are my friends anyway) were deliberately not taking their leaves (kapan lagi nek, leha2 gak ada boss hihi), therefore we could do this and that, during office hours. sumtin that is impossible to happen during normal times. (we even once watched 'Friends' DVD at this meeting room lols =P).
but the best i love about xmas-new year holiday at the office was the potluck party. we formed few groups of 4-5 people, and each group had to bring some food, as discussed beforehand. so yeah, it was so fun seeing all these people bring huge portion of food, including rice cooker (!!), humungous bowl filled with mocktail syrup, and other food. the event is simple, nothing really fancy about that, yet i love it. i love its simplicity, and it brings us together. cheesy, i know.
but comparing that event to this year's quite big celebration, it feels totally different. i dunno, i guess its kinda related to the growth of my division. its just so different, having have seen this organisation has grown so big for the past one year. i remember i was the 35th members of the division. you know how many people are now here in this division? 120. ish. just imagine the changes ive been experiencing and the problems i encountered (and solved, thank you) in this year.
few friends has gone (lulus dari perusahaan ini, so they say) and moved some ladders, some became a very good housewife, some pursued their new path as entrepeneur, but i'm still here.
and me, i just want my potluck party back, with my closest friends called colleagues. please?
